a lot has changed over time. our sense of humor, representation in media, the way people are depicted, etc. In sitcoms now (in the US anyway) you can see lgbtq+ people, bipoc, and women all existing in the same show. this hasn’t been the case for a long time and I think things are slowlyyyy changing for the better. there’s definitely room for improvement but diversity is definitely increasing. :) hope this helped a lil.
