  • smooth muscle
  • helps propel content organs'
  • mostly found in viscera

Muscular tissue type

Generally, there are  3 categories of muscle tissue and these are

  1. cardiac
  2. smooth
  3. skeletal.

We would use this to categorize the images, and we have that

a)

  • skeletal muscles
  • Voluntary
  • moves the skeleton Multi nucleated

b)

  • Cardiac muscle
  • connected by intralated disc
  • nucleus surrounded by glycogen

c)

  • smooth muscle
  • helps propel content organs'
  • mostly found in viscera

1) Skeletal muscle: moves the skeleton, voluntary movements, multinucleated cells. 2) Cardiac muscle: connected by intercalated discs, nucleus surrounded by glycogen. 3) Smooth muscle: propel contents through a tubular organ, mostly found in viscera.

What are the different types of muscles?

  • The SMOOTH MUSCLE

It is formed by fusiform cells, mononucleated, and with no transversal striations.

There is a protein contraction system, but not as organized as the skeletal muscle's one.

Smooth-muscle is located in different organs, vessels, veins, and arteries.

It provides sustained contractions, slow and rhythmical, but not voluntary.

  • The SKELETAL MUSCLE

It is the most abundant muscle in vertebrates, constituting the somatic musculature.

Among its many functions, it proportionates motion to extremities and digits and is responsible for the position and posture of the individual. It also participates in eye movements, respiration, mastication, deglutition, and phonation.

The skeletal muscle contracts voluntarily, and its response is fast.

Cells composing the striated muscle are significantly longer and multinucleated. They arrange in bundles, where cells are parallel to each other.

  • The MYOCARDIUM MUSCLE

This tissue resembles more to the striated tissue than to the smooth one. However, there are some differences between them.

Cardiac cells are cylindrical and shorter, with ramifications.

Cardiac cells have one nucleus, and occasionally there can be two.

According to this information, we can answer the question,

Firts Image on the left

Skeletal muscle

  • It moves the skeleton.
  • Produce voluntary movements.
  • Its cells are multinucleated.

Second central image

Cardiac or myocardium muscle

  • Cells are connected by intercalated discs.
  • The cell nucleus is surrounded by glycogen.

Third Image on the right

Smooth muscle

  • It helps propel contents through a tubular organ.
  • It is mostly found in viscera.
