Anorexia and bulimia

Severely restricted eating and an intense fear of weight gain is to anorexia as binge eating followed by self-induced vomiting is to bulimia.

Anorexia and bulimia are both eating disorders. Anorexia is typically characterized by the person being afraid to put on any weight so they stop eating altogether. This disorder can lead to serious health complications and even death. Bulimia is typically characterized by again the person being afraid to put on weight but they binge eat which would mean to eat a lot all at once and then make themselves vomit everything they have eaten. This disorder can again lead to serious health complications and even death.
