If I were going into hiding I would first begin by packing everything into a large, heavy duty backpack. Although it may be smaller than something like a suitcase or duffle bag, the portability of it and ability to hide it more easily makes up for that. Inside the bag, I would pack a canteen to use once a water source has been located. A guide to what plants and berries are edible would be helpful if you are hiding in a wooded/outside location. A first aid kit would also be a beneficial thing to have incase an injury is to occur. A small fire starting kit would be nice to have, but it is not an essential item. I would like to bring a change of clothing in case the one's I went into hiding in became soiled. A weapon would such as a knife or bow and arrow would aid in protection. I feel as if anything else would be great to have as luxury, but not a necessity to live.
