The quickest method to indent a single and existing paragraphs is to use the Tab key. However, when the ruler is not present and you do want to use the tab key, you can use the paragraph dialog box in the page layout tab. While on this option, go to the indentation part and on the special option, select ‘first line’. Use the increment arrow to adjust the length of the indent.
