Use the Wreck of Hesperus to answer the question.

Why does the old sailor ask the skipper to pull into port?

I need help IMMEDIATELY!!!

Respuesta :

He does it beacuse he fears a hurricane. The excerpt that supports this part is:
Then up and spake an old Sailòr, Had sailed to the Spanish Main,
"I pray thee, put into yonder port,
 For I fear a hurricane.

In Longfellow's poem "Wreck of Hesperus," the sailor asks the skipper to pull into port because he feels a hurricane coming.

He explains that the night before the moon had a golden ring and, that night, there was no moon at all.
