I believe it is C. I don't remember the experiment too well, but I know that he is known for discovering lots about genetics and that he was observing genetic traits, so that means it probably is not B or D. I don't even know what A is saying. C makes sense and it almost certainly the answer, as he was testing to find things like recessive traits.
The traits have shown up in the F2 generation that was not present in the F1 generation because of C. The traits were recessive.
What was Mendel's exploration?
In this experiment, Mendel took two pea plants with opposite traits (one short and one long) and mixed them. He found the descendants of the first generation-long and called it F1. He then crossed the F1 line and obtained both tall and short plants in a ratio of 3: 1.
What is the conclusion of the Mendel test?
Summarizing the effects of thousands of plants, Mendel concluded that the elements could be subdivided into expressed and latent Traits. He named these, respectively, the outstanding and unusual features. Outstanding features are those inherited as unchanged in the compound.
