In the case of linear inequalities, we need to take care of the sign, here we have to take each side with that middle sign which could be =, >, <, ≤, ≥. So, here we apply a same operation on both sides of the equation equally

Example. -  3x + 2 > 5
Here, we need to subtract 2 from both sides, [ equal operation ]
 3x  > 3
Now, we need to divide 3 from both sides,
x > 1
In that way, we solve for a linear inequality

Didn't get the next part of your question  [ rocketcow is not allowed to answer] what does that mean? Not in maths

Hope this helps!
