Disregard the previous answer to this question. In the second Continental Congress, there was no internet.Here is the Real answer:
When the united states first started out, they came up with the articles of confederation, which served to frame the way that the US should carry things out as a government. However, this system didn't work out and riots erupted such as Shays Rebellion, which consisted of farmers and veterans that ransacked a bank in hopes of getting what was owed to them from participating in the Revolutionary war. While the rebellion was put down, it served to show the "big wigs" that the Articles of Confederation wouldn't work, hence triggering the Second Continental congress in which the founding fathers realized that while taxation without representation was absurd, they had to have a system to tax people. After that it was obvious that taxes were necessary in a capitalistic system and are the norm in the US nowadays.

My stand is to allow the central government to impose taxes on the citizens of the nation.

The reason why I am in support of this is because taxes are very important in a government because they are a way of offering social support to the government.

Taxes helps the central government to fund different programs in the country.  They are used to help the poor, aged and the less fortunate that are part of the society.

Also another reason why I am in support of the taxation is due to the fact that they are a great source of funding for public parks and also libraries.
