If a star is closer to Earth than light would travel faster since it has to travel at a shorter distance.As an example,Wolf 359 is 7.6 light years away from Earth,while Epsilon Indi is 11.3 light years away.Which one would be brighter.Well of course Wolf 359 would be brighter since its closer to Earth and the light being emeted from it would have to travel a fewert distance
