James needs 50 tons of dirt for a large construction project. He already has 3 tons of dirt at the construction site. Each dump truck can transport 8 tons of dirt. How many trips does the dump truck need to take to reach 50 tons of dirt?

he is going to need at least 6 more dump trucks of dirt. 5 will be completely full, and the last one will have to be at least 88% full.
do 50-3 and u get or the remaining tons of dirt u need, now divide that by8 to get 47 divide by 8 or 5 R7, add 5+1=6 trips or B.
