Zacchaeus' salvation was a good example of Jesus' mission to seek and save the lost. The narrative of Zacchaeus is the story of a soul's conversion. The narrative of Zacchaeus, like the Bible accounts of Nicodemus (John 3:1-17) and the Samaritan woman (John 4:5-26), should be examined by Christians on a regular basis.
Zacchaeus experiences a changing power after spending time with Jesus. He suddenly stands up and vows that he would live a life that exalts Christ from that point forward. "And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, for he, too, is a son of Abraham," Luke 19:9-10 says.
He adopted a new way of life, one based on honesty and grace. After spending time with Jesus, he was a changed man, and he showed it in a meaningful and visible way. 1. Zacchaeus reminds us that putting out a strong effort to encounter Jesus is rewarded.
