Snow beginning 30-36 hours from now, accumulation of 10-13 inches possible. Cooler temperatures and clear skies in 2 days.”

A warm front has warm, moist air behind it. This warm air rises above the cold air because it is less dense and forms clouds along the front. As the warm front approaches, there is a greater drop in pressure and cloudiness, the temperature remains constant or rises slowly, unless it drops a little because of the rain.

Cold front

In a cold front, warm air is pushed out and replaced by cold air. As in the case of the warm front, the vertical structure of the hot air will determine the reactions with reference to cloudiness and precipitation. As a common cold front approaches there is heavy rain and there may be strong gusts of wind or violent storms. With the passage of the front, there is an increase in pressure, a sudden and large drop in temperature, an increase in the strength of the wind and a variation in its direction.
