Based on the literature of east Asia and the pacific rim, I do agree  with Kipling's statement.

What is the statement about?

The famous line of Rudyard Kipling "East is east and west is west and never the twain shall meet".

From the line above, we can see that he declares his love for British Colonialism and as such, I can say I believe in India and it tells one that the people of the east India and the people of Britain are said to be mutually exclusive.

In this case, they will not be able to reconcile their differences and the assumption is seen as white colonialists are more superior to the Indian  people.
