Lambs are mentioned in many contexts in the Bible. They are animals used for sacrifice. They are symbols for purity. They are also compared to humans who are said to be lost without a Good Shepherd

Use a Bible concordance and find verses telling about lambs. Read the verses to yourself.

Why do you think lambs are compared to humans? Why is Jesus called the Lamb of God? Why are lambs used for sacrifices? Why are they symbols of purity? Use what you have learned from the lessons in this unit as well as the Biblical references to write a short essay (four to five paragraphs, at least 200 words) describing the Biblical information. so in the Bible humans are compared to his lambs or sheep and the Lord God represents a Shepherd because he looks after us all the time and guides us where to go sometimes when we go astray like sheep do, he leads us back to the sheep pen where we belong and keeps us from the Wolves in the Predators.

so Jesus is represented as a lamb because the lamb was a perfect sacrifice given unto god when people had sinned. when the perfect lamb died for us on the cross we didn't need to make special sacrifices like to killing sheep any more because he payed the penalty for sin.
when people sinned they then needed to make a sacrifice and had to be perfect meaning it had to have no blemishes or birthmarks because blemishes and birthmarks were a symbol of impurity
so when the Bible says a perfect lamb has to sacrificed it needs to be without blemish.
and anyone who trust in the lord will be saved.
Lambs are compared to humans because we like lambs sometimes go out of the way but Jesus the good Shepard brings us back.
Before Jesus came to earth he established the sanctuary service in which the lamb was sacrificed, in reference to his coming to sacrifice himself for mankind, but Israel failed to recognize and accept him.
