Four ongoing development projects of Nepal
NDRI, in financial funding of Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and technical support of Kivu International, is executing “Tobacco Control Program (TCP)” in Nepal since April 2019. Despite huge healthiness and economic costs of tobacco use, tobacco management remains a “second order issue” in Nepal.
The main purpose of this program is to raise the salience of tobacco control as an issue, or lift it from second order case to first order issue through developing evidences and to building a stronger call for tobacco tax raise via advocacy.
