Learning disability and intellectual disability are not the same  intellectual disability refers to when someone has a developmental disorder such as difference in the brain learning disability is  difficulty in writing and reading.

Characteristics of learning disability are bad decoding abilities, poor fluency in reading, slow reading speed, Lack of reading self-monitoring abilities. characteristics of intellectual disability are poor communication abilities, they can understand and react to other people's words,  repetitive activities.

A person with an intellectual disability has a lower than normal IQ and lacks the necessary life skills. Weaknesses in particular academic abilities are referred to as learning disabilities. The three main ones are reading, writing, and math.
