If I could go back in time I would write letter to the parliament and I would have recommended them sending the letter to the prime minister because of the following reasons.

India and Pakistan are neighboring countries in the continent Asia, the two countries were merged before the year 1947 and were ruled by the British. The two countries gained independence in the year 1947.
I would write the letter about the future (present) consequences that will be faced by the two countries, at the time of partition a lot of blood was shed as a result of the people trying to migrate as soon as possible to their destination country.
Muslims wanted to be in Pakistan while Hindus wanted to be a part of India. Also the after effects were great too as newly formed countries, both faced poverty and small economy, which was difficult to build however to this day both the countries and their citizens are struggling to meet the high economy and compete with the world.
It would have been better if they had remained together.
