All the stars, planets and galaxies that can be seen today make up about 4 percent of the universe while on the other hand, the 96 percent is made of materials that astronomers can't see or detect because they are dark in colour. Four percent of the universe can be seen by the scientist due to presence of universe whereas 96 percent of the universe is empty which can't be seen by the scientists.
