According to ethical subjectivism, what is the relationship between a think being good and someone approving of it is- Things are good only because people approve of them.
According to Ethical Subjectivism, there are no objective moral properties, and ethical statements are arbitrary because they do not express immutable truths. Instead, moral statements are made true or false by the observers' attitudes and/or conventions, and any ethical sentence simply implies someone's attitude, opinion, personal preference, or feeling.
Thus, for a statement to be considered morally correct, it must be approved by the person of interest. Another way to look at it is that judgments about human behavior are shaped by, and often limited by, perception. Ethical subjectivism asserts that the truth or falsity of ethical claims is determined by people's mental states and attitudes, but that these ethical truths may be universal (i.e., one person's or group's mental states may determine what is right or wrong for everyone).
