The Roman Empire can be regarded as the post-Republican period of ancient Rome.

This empire was seen to comprises of  large territorial holdings around the Mediterranean Sea in Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia, ruled by emperors.

It should be noted that in 476 C.E. Romulus,  there was an overthrown of the emperors  by the Germanic leader Odoacer.

The Roman Republic which was regarded as the Roman Empire was been known in 27 BCE, this was time that Julius Caesar's tried yo get a son through adoption and its been regarded as Augustus, became the ruler of Rome.

The Roman Empire can be regardeda as the greatest and most influential civilisations that was recorded in the world for the past 1000 years, it should be noted that this empire went to the extent and length of their reign even though their power later fall.
