Plasma is permeable, small molecules can pass through it but the large molecules can not pass from it.
Small uncharged polar molecules, such as water H2O, also can diffuse through membranes, but larger uncharged polar molecules, such as glucose, cannot. Charged molecules, such as ions, are unable to diffuse through a phospholipid bilayer regardless of size; even H+ ions cannot cross a lipid bilayer by free diffusion. Plasma membrane is selectively is permeable, so the small molecules can pass through it very easily but the large molecules can not pass through it.
So we can conclude that: Plasma is permeable, small molecules can pass through it but the large molecules can not pass from it.
