Androclus was weak and tired and when he found a caver, he quickly hid inside it. When he was resting he saw a lion enter the cave and was very frightened, but the lion was kind and showed that his paw was bruised by a piece of wood.
Androclus took the piece of wood and helped the lion retrieve the paw. The lion was so grateful, that he always took the best part of his hunt so that Androclus could eat and grow strong.
