Group 1A elements are called as Alkali metals.
Alkali metals are the elements which has lower radius than as compared to the other elements in the periodic table. But increases as we go down the group.
The densities of the group 1 elements increases down the group. The rate of increase of mass is greater than as compared to the rate of increase of volume, therefore the density increases down the group.
The metals in the group 1 are:
Lithium (Li), sodium (Na), potassium (K), rubidium (Rb), cesium (Cs), and francium (Fr).
Density is defined as the mass of a substance per unit volume.
Density = Mass of the substance÷ volume of the substance.
