According to Jefferson, Americans have the Right to bear arms, Freedom of religion, Freedom of property and Freedom of the press under the state governments.
"Jefferson wanted a Bill of Rights accompanying the new constitution, that guarantees personal liberties such as freedom of religion, freedom of press, freedom from standing armies ,trial by jury and Habeas Corpus. Americans also had a right to buy and own properties in America. People were allowed to practice any religion they chose and to express themselves freely".
He wanted a government that would respect the authority of states, small bureaucracy and cut its debt. His promises are known as Jeffersonian Principles.
