The main factor that leads to the lower turnout of younger voters in the United States is due to many tangible issues.
Tangible issues are straightforward and usually a product of circumstance, I like to think of them as problems that can be resolved with yes or no answers. They include aspects such as marriage, kids, religion, distance, schedules, money, and etc.
As such, the American youth is loosing out on the political autonomy that has been granted by the constitution of America.
However, there are other reasons as well for the low turnout such as annual registration, poll tax, socio-economic factors, lack of efficacy of the political choices etc.
