Ethics, or moral philosophy, is a branch of philosophy that "involves codifying, defending, and advocating notions of right and wrong behavior." The field of ethics, along with aesthetics, is concerned with questions of value. These disciplines include the branch of philosophy known as axiology.
Ethics tries to solve the problem of human morality by defining concepts such as good and bad, good and bad, virtue and evil, justice and crime. As a field of intellectual inquiry, moral philosophy is related to the fields of moral psychology, descriptive ethics, and value theory.
His three main areas of study within accepted ethics today are:
Normative ethics regarding practical means of determining moral behavior;
Applied ethics, is what a person must (or may) do in a particular situation or area of behavior.
