Respuesta :

Water vapor shows maximum deviation from ideal behavior than neon .

In water vapor there is a presence of intermolecular forces and hydrogen bonding which is the property of deviation from ideal gas . but neon doesn't have . so due to presence of intermolecular forces in water vapor , it shows maximum deviation from ideal behavior than neon gas .

What is intermolecular force ?

The intermolecular force is the force of attraction between molecules . it is also called as secondary force . it acts between ions and atoms .

What is hydrogen bonding ?

Hydrogen bonding is the attractive forces which binds the hydrogen atom of 1 molecule with electronegative atom of other molecules .

What is ideal gas ?

A gas which obeys gas laws under all conditions of temperature and pressure . volume occupied by gas molecules is negligible as compare to the total volume of gas .

gas behave in ideal manner at low pressure and high temperature .

Conditions of showing deviation :

the gases which satisfy the following conditions will show maximum deviation from ideal behavior .

1) the gases with large-size .

2) gases in which molecules are polar so that they attract each other .

3) when gas molecules have significant volume .
