What is LH ?

LH is also called intestinal cell stimulating hormone ( ICSH) .It stimulates of testis Laydig's cells and results in the secretion of androgens. Also called as luteinizing hormone .

LH stimulates the corpus luteum to secrete progesterone which inhibits release of GnRH .

What is FSH ?

FSH stimulates production of androgen binding protein (ABP) . It inhibited by inhibin, secreted by Sertoli cells of seminiferous tubules .FSH acts on spermatogonia to stimulate sperm production . FSH is known follicle stimulating hormone .

FSH stimulates the development of ovary . the ovaries then produce  estrogen . females attain puberty at the age of thirteen . at this time , pituitary produces FSH .
