The Hohokam were known to be living in the  desert  where is just  little rain, and this make it hard to practice agriculture, but they later  figured out how to irrigate their crops.

They  do this by practicing irrigation,  which made The Anasazi to  use the landscape to build their homes, hence The Hohokam and Anasazi people adapt to their physical environment because A- they built networks of ditches to irrigate the desert.
