If core body temperature is reached in the scrotum , then the spermatogenesis stops .
What is spermatogenesis ?
the process of formation of male gametes( sperms ) is called as spermatogenesis .it occurs in the seminiferous tubule s of the testis .
The germinal epithelium of seminiferous tubules largely consists of cuboidal primary germ cells which give rise to sperms by the process of spermatogenesis .
It occurs in two successive steps : formation of spermatids and formation of spermatozoa .
Formation of spermatids include multiplication phase , growth phase , and maturation phase .
In the second step of spermatogenesis does not involve any division but transformation or metamorphosis of spermatids occur resulting in the formation of sperms or spermatozoa .this process is called as spermiogenesis
One spermatogonium divides twice to form two sperms .un-differentiated diploid primoridal germ cells give rise to haploid sperms .
it plays vital role in organic evolution .
