Mass flow rate of water in gpm = 34.5625 g
1. Mass flow of brine
1gm = 8.35 lb / min
Therefore, 25 gm = 25 * 8.35 = 208.75 lb / min
2. Heat transferred to brine = mbrine * Cbrine (T0 – Ti)
= 208.75 * 0.79 (35 - 0)
= 5771.9375 Btu/min
3. Heat lost by water = Heat gained by brine
Mwater * Cwater (Ti - T0) = 5771.9375
Mwater = 5771.9375 / (1 * (55 - 35)) = 288.597 lb/min
4. Mass flow rate of water = 288.597 / 8.35 = 34.5625 g
