According to Steinbeck’s article, how are some workers treated in the United States? How should we define what it means to be treated fairly at work?

Some people are paid less, or receive unfair treatment because of their ethnicity or gender. Women still get paid less then men. Being fairly treated is same wage, and same benefits.
