They shun duties or tasks where they might fail and seek out those that they can perform well. They persist in pursuing objectives they are confident they can achieve by working hard and putting in long hours. They feel compelled to look for jobs where they can succeed, get constructive criticism, and feel like they accomplished something. In other words, individuals who are driven by achievement prefer moderately challenging tasks that they can complete successfully and feel competent in. They stay away from challenging jobs that could lead to failure and easy tasks that don't make them feel good about themselves after completion.
