To calculate the volume of any cylinder you have to multiply the area of the base circle by the height of the cylinder

The area of the circle is calculated as the multiplication between the number pi and the square of the radius
[tex]A=\pi r^2[/tex]
So, you can express the formula for the volume of the cylinder as follows:
[tex]\begin{gathered} V=A\cdot h \\ V=\pi r^2h \end{gathered}[/tex]
Where
V is the volume
π is the number pi, normally we use 3.14 instead of the whole number.
h is the height of the cylinder
r is the radius.
For the first cylinder, the radius is r=6cm and the height is 2.5cm, you can calculate the volume as follows:
[tex]\begin{gathered} V=(3.14)\cdot(6)^2\cdot(2.5) \\ V=3.14\cdot36\cdot2.5 \\ V=282.6\operatorname{cm}^3 \end{gathered}[/tex]
The volume of this cylinder is 282.6 cm³
