We get,

0.35x + 41.25 – 0.75x = 25.65
0.4x = 15.6
x = 39
Put the value of x in the equation (1) to get the value of y
y = 55-39
y = 16
Hence the number of crocus bulbs and number of daffodil bulbs that we can buy is 39 and 16 respectively.
