Many of the native Americans who lived in parts of America’s northeast were members of the Iroquois tribe.

Explain about Native Americans.

Native Americans, sometimes referred to as American Indians, First Americans, Indigenous Americans, and other titles, are the native inhabitants of the United States, which also includes its territories, Hawaii, Northern Mexico, and Canada, as well as the mainland. There are 574 tribes that are officially recognised in the US, and nearly half of them are connected to Indian reservations. Native tribes from the contiguous United States and Alaska Natives are included in the United States Census' definition of "Native Americans." Native Hawaiians, Samoans, and Chamorros are among the indigenous peoples of the United States who are not American Indians or Alaska Natives. These individuals are classified by the US Census as "Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander."
