The best course of action for your school district should be, the program should be expanded.
The program should be expanded to include any and all forms of giftedness, but only if psychometrically sound tests can be found. And entrance exams should be held to test the knowledge of different students so that the process is fair.
It should be equally fair to the giftedness and the regular students so that later no question can be hold up against the school. Its good to think about the giftedness but we also should keep in mind the students that we have.
