What is a conflict?
Conflicts arise from disparate interests, points of view, or even philosophical notions. The basis of conflict can be interpersonal, racial, class, caste, political, or even international, thus it will always exist in society.
A mental battle brought on by needs urges wishes or demands that are in conflict or are not compatible. A clashing or severe dispute (as there is between ideas, emotions, or purposes).
Information conflicts, values conflicts, interest conflicts, interpersonal conflicts, and structural conflicts are the five basic causes of conflict. Conflicts over information emerge when individuals have conflicting or incomplete information or disagree on the information's relevance.
