Respuesta :

College teachers are starting to relax the requirements for student grades in order to increase students' competitiveness for graduate school and the workforce. Grade inflation is what this is called.

Inflation in grades is what?

Grade inflation, sometimes referred to as grading leniency, is when students receive higher grades than they merit, which raises the overall grade they receive from the class as a whole.

The word is also used to explain the propensity for academic assignments that would have previously received lower grades to now receive ever higher grades. Higher average grades do not, however, establish grade inflation in and of themselves. It must be proven that the work's high grade is not justified in order for this to be grade inflation.
