Who was April Greiman?

April Greiman is a well-known American designer who was among the first to use computers as a design tool. She was born on March 22, 1948. Additionally, Greiman and early partner Jayme Odgers are recognized for their contributions to bringing the European New Wave design movement to the US in the late 1970s and early 1980s. "April Greiman was a bridge between the modern and postmodern, the analogue and the digital," claims design historian Steven Heller. She was a key proponent of the "new typeface" and "new wave" that characterized graphic design in the late 20th century.  Her artwork merges West Coast postmodernism with her background in Swiss design.
