Respuesta :

made of membrane enclosed chambers, surface area increased by folds and layers

One of the similarities of the endoplasmic reticulum and golgi apparatus is that both comprises of membrane enclosed structures.

  • The endoplasmic reticulum is the large organelle in eukaryotic cells that is involved in synthesis and processing of proteins, lipids, and storage of calcium.
  • The golgi appartus is an organelle which receives the proteins from endoplasmic reticulum and further causes their sorting for the transportation to the destinations like lysosomes, and plasma membrane.
  • The another key similarity apart from membrane enclosed structure between these two cell organelles is that they can increase their surface area by enhancing the number of folds and layers in them.

Hence, endoplasmic reticulum and golgi apparatus are similar in the sense of having membrane enclosed structure and increase in number of folds and creases to increase the surface area.
