1. The length of a rectangle is 15 ft and its width is 10 ft. What is the effect on the area of the rectangle when all of its dimensions are multiplied by 1/5?

2. The surface area of a sphere is 100π cm². What is the volume of the sphere?

3. A hotel is in the shape of a square pyramid. Each side of the base is 183 m long and the height is 110 m. What is the volume of the pyramid?

For question 4, it would be a^2+b^2=c^2. So you would set up the equation as a^2+14^2=18^2. the third side would equal approximately 23cm.
1.Area of rectangle=150 sq.feet
New length=15/5=3 feet
New breadth=10/5=2 feet
New area=15 sq.feet
∴Area is decreased by 135 sq.feet.

2. TSA of a sphere =4πr²=100π
⇒4r²=100
⇒r²=25
⇒r=5 cm
Volume=4/3πr³
=4/3×3.14×125
=392.5 cm³
