Momentum is conserved.
Momentum is lost.
Kinetic energy is lost.
Momentum is gained.
Kinetic energy is conserved.
Kinetic energy is gained.

I put a and c and it says it wrong down to my last tries.

Respuesta :

In an inelastic collision the momentum is always conserved but the net kinetic energy never conserved.

Further Explanation:

A collision is a phenomenon where, two or more object exerts forces on each other or colloid each other in comparatively short time.

An elastic collision is a collision where, after collision the net kinetic energy of the body remains constant. The kinetic energy and momentum is always conserved in the elastic collision.

An inelastic collision is a collision where, after collision the net kinetic energy of the body does not remain constant. The momentum is always conserved but the net kinetic energy never conserved in an inelastic collision.

Concept:

When there is a collision between one or more or multiple bodies and the value of the final kinetic energy has different from the initial value of initial kinetic energy then it is said that the collision is an inelastic collision.

In an inelastic collision the when there is a collision between one or more or multiple bodies, after collision or impact, the bodied participated in the Collison  become single body and move together in same direction therefore, the total mass become mass of sum of all bodies with velocity in same direction.

For example

A car has caught in an accident or crashes into a tree. The car moving with some velocity instantaneously stops moving. This collision or the impact results in a loud noise and some heat. Due to conservation of energy the losses in car's kinetic energy is changed in the form of sound and heat energy which is dissipated in the environment as shown in Figure 1.

Therefore, in an inelastic collision the momentum is always conserved but the net kinetic energy never conserved.

In an inelastic collision, one body looses kinetic energy to another hence both momentum and kinetic energy are not conserved.

An inelastic collision is one in which the colliding particles stick together after collision. When that occurs, the two colliding particles now move together at a common velocity.

The following is true about an inelastic collision;

  • Momentum is lost.
  • Kinetic energy is lost.
  • Kinetic energy is gained.
  • Momentum is gained.
