Three friends each have some ribbon. Carol has 54 inches of ribbon, Tino has 4.5 feet of ribbon, and Baxter has 6.5 yards of ribbon. Express the total length of ribbon the three friends have in inches, feet, and yards.

Carol : 54 inches
Tino : 4.5 ft......1 ft = 12 inches...so 4.5 ft = 12* 4.5 = 54 inches
Baxter : 6.5 yds...1 yd = 36 inches.....so 6.5 yds = 6.5 * 36 = 234 inches

total : 54 + 54 + 234 = 342 inches <==
          342 / 12 = 28.5 ft <==
          342 / 36 = 9.5 yds <==
