The courts dismantled official segregation, but many American students still attend schools that have a strong ethnic, religious, or class imbalances. What can be done to be further break down cultural and ethnic barriers between students? How can institutions and individuals promote dialogue between racial and ethnic groups?

Respuesta :

Desegregation is the elimination of communitites split up and isolated by race. Integration is having everyone together in one place. I don't really think there can be anything else done to further break down the cultural and ethnic barriers between students. It's who we are as people. I feel as if everywhere one goes, there's always going to be racial or ethnic tension. It's significant to not let that be a determining point, and to let stereotypes pass. Laws and acts aren't going to change every mind in the world. It may force them to appear as if they are changing their minds to avoid punishment and consequences, but I don't think society can truly change what one thinks.
