Which word in this sentence is an example of an abstract noun?
Henry decided he would dedicate the rest of his life to the pursuit of justice.

A. dedicate
B. justice
C. Henry
D. pursuit

Respuesta :

Hey there! I believe your answer is B - Justice. I think this because just looking at it, its obviously not D or C. We then are left with the choices of A - Dedicated, and B - Justice. B is the better answer here, because an abstract noun is a quality, a concept, an idea, or maybe even an event. Dedicating is not exactly a quality, nor is it a concept or idea, and it sure as likely is not an event. That leaves us stranded with B - Justice, which is obviously a concept/quality.

The answer is B. Justice
