We can't graph here, and I don't feel like uploading a picture :P  But if you did the solution would be where the curve intersected with the x-axis.

Luckily, mathematically finding these points is pretty simple...

2x^2+5=11x  subtract 11x from both sides

2x^2-11x+5=0  find two values j and k which satisfy two conditions...

ac=jk=2*5=10 and b=j+k=-11, so j and k must be -1 and -10 

Now replace bx, -11x, with jx and kx, -x and -10x in the original equation..

2x^2-x-10x+5=0  now factor 1st and 2nd pair of terms..

x(2x-1)-5(2x-1)=0

(x-5)(2x-1)=0

so x=0.5 and 5
