to set it equal to zero subtract 4x^2 from both sides
write it as -4x^2 + 2x + 1 = 0 its easier
then put it in the quadratic formula -b plus or minus the square root of b squared minus 4 times A times C all divided by 2 times A
so -2 plus or minus the square root of 2 squared minus 4 times -4 times 1 all divided by 2 times -4
don't forget to simplify and remember there will be a positive and a negative answer
