Wildfires are studied by wildlife biologists and by fire planning professionals with state and federal departments of forestry. Those who monitor forest or wildland health will be aware of the history of fires in study areas. Meteorologists and air quality management people will also have some knowledge and interest in wildfires because of the debris put into the air, where is goes, and what effect it has on people.
